Air-Popped Microwave Popcorn

I’m going to get straight to the point here, because there is no explanation required: nobody wants that chemical burnt-popcorn smell in their home or office. And nobody wants to eat that popcorn inf, used with the burnt chemicals, right? So, here is your saving gracebecause we all want a quick and healthy snack!

Here is a super quick and easy way to pop your kernels in the microwave with no chemicals!

1 lunch paper bag

1/4 c. popcorn kernels

Pour the popcorn kernels into the bag. Fold over the top 2 times. Place the back in microwave and set on your microwave’s popcorn setting. Listen to the microwave and stop when there are 2-3 seconds between popping. Tip: My microwave gives me a final 30 second warning and usually, I like to add another 15-30 seconds to the cooking. But, every microwave is unique, so play it by ear.

At this point, you can add some melted coconut oil and some sea salt to taste. Or try my recipe below for a spicy treat.

Chili Garlic Popcorn

1 T coconut oil

1/4 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp garlic salt

Melt coconut oil over medium heat or in the microwave. Stir in remaining ingredients and then pour over popcorn and toss.

On a side note, Cora would like you to drink more water. ;)
